General parking regulations in Nice
As the interactive parking map shows, parking in the centre of Nice is paid everywhere, from 9am to 8pm, from Monday to Saturday. This is represented by the red and orange zones on the map.
Please note however that you can benefit from 30 minutes of free parking in these zones!
The green zones on the map are free parking zones with no time limit! Therefore, if possible, use them to avoid spending your money on parking fees.
Free parking at the Park and Ride parkings
Park-and-Ride parkings, most of which are located at the edge of town, are a good way to park for free for a day!
Be careful however, because to use these car parks, you will have to buy a ticket for the Azur lines which will also allow you to get to the place you want.

Parking near the old Nice
Do you have to go to the old Nice just to make a purchase?
Closer to the Massena square you can also park for free for 1 hour in the Nice Azur Parking Corversy.
For longer parking periods, you can park at the Avenue des Arènes de Crimiez, which is a 10-minute walk from the Vieux Nice.
Parking near Avenue Jean Médecin - Shopping
For a day of shopping, choose the Park and Ride parking Parcazur Palais des Expositions which is connected to the tramway station "Palais des Expositions". You will be in Nice city centre in 2 minutes. More info about the park and ride here.
Street parking in the parallels and perpendiculars to the Avenue Jean Médecin become very expensive is you park for more than 2 hours. However, for quick errands it is possible to reduce these parking fees to 2€ for 2 hours.
Parking near Promenade des Anglais
If you wish to park near the Promenade des Anglais free of charge, there are two options.
West of the Promenade des Anglais you have a free parking area 3 minutes walk away: the Avenue des Baumettes and its adjacent streets.
On the side of the old town you also have the possibility to park for free in the park and ride area Parcazur Port Lympia which are both at 16 minutes walking distance from the beginning of the Promenade des Anglais.
Parking near Nice train station, Thiers train station
If you have to go to Nice train station, you can park in the parking Gare Nice Thiers - Interparking but it will cost you 23,5€ for one day.
However, free parking areas are available nearby. At 15 minutes from Thiers train station, you can park for free at Avenue Gay.
Near l'Avenue de l'Olivetto, parking is also free and not limited in time.

Free parking in the Cimiez district
Le stationnement est gratuit partout dans le quartier Cimiez de Nice. Vous pouvez en profiter pour visiter les arènes de Cimiez, les jardins du monastère ou un des musées dans le quartier !
